I am a licensed acupuncturist in New York State, and I've been treating people for over 20 years. In 1998, after graduating from college with a degree in physical therapy, I began working at an outpatient physical therapy clinic, providing post-surgical rehabilitation and treating orthopedic and neuromuscular conditions, including chronic pain and stroke.
While physical therapy effectively addresses acute pain and post-hospital recovery, my experience shows it often falls short for chronic pain. This realization motivated me to explore alternative approaches, leading to my specialization in acupuncture.
I graduated from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2004 and continued working in a rehabilitation clinic, combining acupuncture with physical therapy. The results I saw were incredible. Acupuncture is not just masking symptoms like physical therapy modalities and medications, but also accesses the body's innate ability to heal itself.
My preferred style is the Balance Method, which uses distal acupuncture points to effectively target persistent musculoskeletal pain and a broad range of health conditions, including gynecological, gastrointestinal, neurological, and respiratory issues.
I am still amazed by the power of those tiny needles to heal.
